Know what they actually know.
HireInterviewAI exists to measure what a candidate genuinely understands — concept by concept — instead of reducing an engineer to one vague score.
Our mission
Hiring teams deserve to know exactly which concepts a candidate understands at depth — not a generic "backend: 6.5/10". We build live, adaptive, proctored AI technical interviews that probe each topic until they find the edge of someone's knowledge, then report it as per-concept skill depth: "Go concurrency: 8/10, error handling: 4/10". That is the number a hiring manager can actually act on.
The problem
Most screening collapses an engineer into a single score or a pass/fail. A single number hides the picture: a strong candidate gets cut for one shaky topic (a false negative), while a confident generalist slips through without anyone learning where they're thin. Static question banks get leaked, and they never adapt to what the person in front of you actually claims to know.
Our approach
An adaptive interviewer follows the candidate. It asks, listens, and probes deeper exactly where the answer is strong — and eases off where it isn't — to estimate the floor and ceiling of their knowledge on each concept. Voice, an in-browser code editor, and chat make it a real conversation, and proctoring plus a full evidence trail keep the result defensible.
What we value
Truth over theater
A report should say what a candidate actually understands — concept by concept — not flatter or hand-wave with a single number.
Depth over coverage
We’d rather know one topic was probed to its limits than skim ten. Real signal comes from how deep someone can go.
Fairness by design
Every candidate is probed adaptively on what they claim to know, with an evidence trail they can review. No black box.
See it on your own candidates.
